We are proud to introduce you to our awesome friends at Squawkbox Sound, DJ and Sound Services. We have worked with them at a number of weddings and they always do an incredible job.
One of the things that sets them apart from so many other DJs is that not only do they do an amazing job with the music, sound, etc. but they have a blast doing it, which makes it so much more enjoyable for everyone there. They also tend to treat each wedding differently and try to incorporate and reflect the personalities of the couple as much as possible and avoid the "one size fits all" and "cookie-cutter" approach.
Here are a few tips from Michelle at Squawkbox that will help ensure a smooth and memorable wedding:
1. Keep in mind the musical tastes of the guests. If you want to have your guests to have fun, it's important to keep in mind what music they would like to dance to. If the DJ is only allowed to play music that the couple likes, it will be much harder to get the guests on the dance floor, especially if they are unfamiliar with or don't like the music being played. Also, allow your DJ to take requests from your guests. Give your DJ a list of music that you absolutely love as well as music you hate and allow the DJ to take requests based off of your preferences.
2. Have fun! If the bride and groom are having a good time, then their guests will be more likely to relax and enjoy themselves as well. Let your bridesmaids and groomsmen know that their "job" during the reception is to get out on the dance floor! It's much easier for guests to start dancing if there are a number of people already dancing.
