We worked with Truman Elementary and the legendary 4th grade teacher, Mr. Thackeray (Mr. T as he's called by everyone and don't you dare pity the nickname!), to take some candid images of some of the kids during a myriad of different activities. It was a blast! Kids are some of the best subjects because they are extremely honest with their feelings most of the time. In other words, they wear their emotions on their sleeve for everyone to see.
It was just fun to go back to elementary school again. The memories came flooding back as I watched the kids interact, work on their projects, and play some mean foursquare on the blacktop. My wife always teases me because of everything that I remember specifically from fourth grade. Things such as rocks (sedimentary, igneous, metamorphic), fossils, counties and their county seats, and how long light takes to get from the sun to the earth (a little over 8 minutes). And don't forget Mill Hollow! So many memories...
Everyone at Truman was incredibly nice and helpful and we loved being there. Here are a few of the many, many images. We'll be posting a more here soon so keep a watchful eye!
